Ali Malekzadeh St. Cloud State University

Ali Malekzadeh was recently appointed Professor and Dean of the College of Business at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. Prior to his current position, he taught at Northeastern University's School of Business, and served as President of the Faculty Senate and Associate Vice Provost for Graduate Programs at Arizona State University West in Phoenix. He holds a B.S. and MBA from the University of Denver and a Ph.D. in Business Strategy from the University of Utah.
Ali's academic interests include strategic management, global business, mergers and acquisitions. He has done strategic management consulting for many businesses, including Honeywell and Sea Ray. His articles have appeared in the Academy of Management Review, Entrepreneurship, the Journal of Applied Business Research and the Journal of Management Studies, and is co-author of Organizational Behavior: The Person-Organization Fit (1998) and Organizational Culture in the Management of Mergers (1993). Ali, who was also born in Iran, is fluent in Farsi, trained in French, and is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He is married with two children, and currently resides in Minnesota, where he is working on his forthcoming book, Strategic Management, with co-authors Dr. Afsaneh Nahavandi and Dr. Martin B. Meznar (ASU West).
